Description: Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Skyline Software Systems, Inc., 500 West Cummings Park, Suite 5950, Woburn, MA 01801-6624. This procurement is being conducted u nder Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) ?????? only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Skyline Software Systems, Inc. is the only known source capable of meeting the Government??????s requirement s for software maintenance and support of Skyline TerraSuite Visualization Software since it is only available from Skyline. The purchase of non-compatible equipment lacking the required features will adversely impact the Governments mission??????s requir ements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later that 4:00 CST on 28 July 2004. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open co mpetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
