Description
: The Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a competitive 8(a) requirement for FY04 Installation Boundary Fence, Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. The following is furnished for your information: This solicitation is limited to the geographical restrictio n of firms located in Alaska and the Pacific Region 8(a) Certified firms, and the SBA Requirement Number, 7700-03-302912. It has been determined that competition will be limited to 8(a) firms located in Region 10 (Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Idaho). A ll other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. Competition will not be restricted by stage of 8(a) program participation. The project description is as follows: Construct fencing and repair broken and damaged fencing. Provide gates at all vehicle access ways and reinforce fencing (cabling and anchors) at areas subject to vehicle access. Provide pedestrian and bicycle access restriction measures along the right of way of the Richardson Highway without impacting animal access trails. Design and bu ild details for fence as well as a registered surveyor will be required for this project. The estimated performance period is: 360 calendar days. This requirement will be a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable procurement conducted in accordance with proc edures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15.101-2 entitled ??????Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process. This procurement action will be negotiated and awarded pursuant to Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act ( 15 U.S.C. 637(a) and the DOD/SBA Partnership Agreement dated February 1, 2002. Proposed procurement will result in award of a firm fixed price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990A (All other Specialty Trade Contractors) and the Standard Industry Classification Code (SIC) is 1799 with size standard of 12,000,000. This solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on Seattle District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Contracting Web page in electronic format only. No disks will be mailed. Firms must register via the Internet at the following address: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct/ in order to receive notification about amendments. The solicitation will be available for download on or about 12 Augu st 2004. For additional contracting opportunities, visit the Army Single Face to Industry at http://acquisition.army.mil/.
