- The Norfolk District is offering for sale approximately 10,668 tons of standing pine sawtimber, 5,099 tons of standing pine pulpwood, 4,687 tons of standing hardwood sawtimber, and 1,862 tons of standing hardwood pulpwood on approximately 413 acres a t Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, Virginia. The total number of items for this sale is four (4). The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers through August 16, 2004. Arrangements for inspections should be made by contacting Mr. Carl Berggren, telephone (804) 633-8431. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., August 18, 2004, by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Branch, Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virgini a 23510-1096, and then and there publicly opened and announced. Forms for use in submitting bids may be obtained from Mr. Berggren at Fort A.P. Hill or from the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, address shown above. Terms and conditions of s ale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the timber are contained in the bid forms. All items of this sale will be sold by WEIGHT.
