- The US Army Corps of Engineers, New York intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) for an award of a contract for the construction of Northport Harbor, Village of Northport, NY, Emergency Shoreline Protection Project. The project area is located o n the bank of Northport Harbor, along Woodbine Avenue, between two residential structures. The project includes bank stabilization measures to prevent the collapse of Woodbine Avenue. The project consists of construction of approximately 130 linear feet of vinyl sheetpile bulkhead with tieback anchors and associated toe armor along Woodbine Avenue and vicinity. It includes regrading and stabilization of the embankment upslope of the bulkhead wall with select earthfill and a geo-grid slope protection system, and planting of vegetative cover. Construction requires clearing and grubbing the site, including demolition of existing wooden deck, site preparation and other ancillary work. This procurement is being solicited as UNRESTRICTED. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $28.5 million. The estimated cost for this project is $250,000.00 TO $500,00.00. Bid opening will be held in room 1841 of 26 Federal Plaz a, New York. The duration of the project is approximately 180 calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The media selected for the issuance of solicitations and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project are the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solicitation, and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. Interested parties may download and print the solicitation, at no charge at http://nan.usace.army.m il. A registration page is attached to the web site, and prospective bidders are required to register to receive notice of any amendments and or addenda that may be issued to the solicitation.
