Description

SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES. Services are required for the project titled WAAR979768 ?????? Replace Control Tower. Work involves construction of a 5600 SF facility for control of aircraft at Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport, construction of a 400 SF Ground-Air Transmit and Receive (GATR) facility, and demolition of the existing1,872 SF control tower. The project consists of control rooms with consoles and casework, elevator conveying system, offices, communications equipment rooms, antennas, radio rooms, and maintenance shops. The new tower construction consists of concrete foundations, steel reinforced CMU walls, brick facing, gypsum board finish, suspended ceilings, metal panels, insulated and fragment resistant glass, sta nding seam metal roof system. Also includes HVAC and ductwork, pulse type boilers, stair pressurization, sewer laterals, meters, extensive radio and telecommunications infrastructure and wiring, wet pipe fire suppression system, fire detection and alarm s ystems. Interior finishes include carpeting, raised flooring, and casework. Lighting throughout facility will include exterior poles with HPS lighting. Also included is security system infrastructure, and fencing. GATR facility to be concrete foundation , CMU block construction with brick facing, standing-seam metal roofing, fencing, gates, lighting, installation of 80?????? monopoles and attachment of antennas. Site work for both facilities includes commercial electrical, transformers, generators with s witching, gas service, installation of 8?????? water line, sewage, and telecommunications duct banks and manholes. Associated site work includes earth moving, asphalt drives and parking lots, concrete curbs and gutters, fencing, storm drainage, airfield l ighting control, and landscaping. Demolition work will include asbestos abatement, proper disposal, and abatement of other hazards as well as protection of adjacent facilities. This procurement is full and open competition. The North American industrial classification (NAIC) code is 236220. The applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more that $28.5 Million av erage annual revenue for the previous three years.
