- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for accommodations in support of HQ AFOTEC's test and evaluation mission prepared in accordance with FAR subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). HQ AFOTEC/Det 1 is seeking to acquire the use of 100 hotel rooms in Beaumont, Texas from 29 Aug 04 ? 19 Sep 04, for soldiers deploying to participate in the Contamination Avoidance at Seaports of Debarkation (CASPOD) Program test, which will be conducted at the Port of Beaumont. The government per diem lodging rate for the area of deployment is $55.00. The requirement of lodging needs to be within a 7-mile radius of the Beaumont docks to ensure effective command, control, and accountability, and test team integrity. It is required that test participants be lodged at the same location to accommodate the limited number of vehicles available for the mission. Furthermore, the accommodations must possess refrigerators due to anticipated variations in the workday schedule (no set time for lunch meals). Laundry facilities on the premises are required.
