- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to make a sole source award to the Transportation Research Board (TRB) to co-sponsor the TRB Statewide Planning Peer Review. TRB will assist with the documentation, editing, layout and dissemination of the roundtable. By working with TRB and its technical standing committees, FHWA is able to gain an economy of scale in delivering this research activity, which reduces the overall cost. This research will support the FHWA statewide planning capacity building research area and the FHWA national environmental measure of establishing a baseline of best practices associated with integrated approaches to multimodal planning, the environmental process and project development. Because of TRB experience and expertise in coordinating the required services, no other known source possesses the knowledge to provide this service. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about August 4, 2004.
