Description
STARS/FIRE LIFE SAFETY UPGRADE, NEW ORLEANS, LA. The work consists of work at 3-towers, (MSY, NEW and HUM ATCT facilities) as part of the STARS Upgrade. (1)Louis Armstrong (MSY) ATCT facility. The work consists of, but is not limited to, removal of vegetation, and installation of concrete pads, and foundation to accommodate a Portable Building (precast building). Installation of HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioner) units; the work involves demolition/installation of walls, and doors; remodeling of offices in the base building; installation of electronic card readers; removal/replacement of carpet material; Installation of grounding system, electrical power panels, and Signal Reference Grid (SRG) materials in the Equipment/TRACON rooms of the Louis Armstrong (MSY) ATCT facility. (2)Lake Front (NEW) ATCT facility. The work consists of, but is not limited to, installation of power panel, removal/replacement of carpet material in the tower cab, installation of HVAC unit on roof (cab) and some electrical work; removal/replacement of carpet material. (3) Houma (HUM) ATCT facility. The work consists of, but is not limited to, installation of a window HVAC unit on the second floor of tower; some electrical work; installation of power panel, and grounding; removal/replacement of carpet material in the cab. ALL WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS AND PLANS. The NAICS code is 233320 ??? Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. ESTIMATED BID RANGE: $500,000 to $1,000,000. The successful offeror must meet the following GO/NO GO criteria: 1. The contractor must have successfully completed similar projects in a commissioned/operational Federal Aviation Administration Facility. 2. Contractor must provide the name of the facility and a Point of Contact with telephone number with request for specifications and plans. General contractors must also provide their mailing addrerss, phone number and FAX number. THIS PROJECT IS A TOTAL SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. GENERAL CONTRACTORS who are interest in providing an offer on this project must request the specifications and plans in writing by e-mail, FAX or letter not later than 4:00 PM Central Standard Time, August 9, 2004.
