Description
PURPOSE: The purpose of this market survey is to give industry an opportunity to respond and describe their capabilities to perform the requirement described herein. REQUIREMENT: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement to develop, build, and test an automated technical documentation pilot program in the form of an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) for the ARSR-4. The IETM will be a hierarchically-structured, relational or object-oriented (Class 4) IETM using commercial IETM programs and Government-provided documents. Documents to be incorporated into the IETM include 8 1/2 x 11 (approximately 9000 pages of text and figures) and 11 x 17 (approximately 7000 pages of drawings). SCOPE OF WORK: Pilot project will design, build, and test an automated solution to provide capabilities for response and decision-support following a failure on LRR systems. The pilot deliverables will include a technical manual system using existing commercial applications packaged in a solution with key components for primary troubleshooting, diagnostics and information retrieval. SUBMISSION: In response to this market survey, the FAA requests, from interested companies, written responses providing the following information: Clearly describe how a company would satisfy the FAA requirement as expressed in the above description; Provide experience with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM); Indicate status: large or small business. No cost data is requested.
