- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna, Florida, is soliciting a contractor to provide services as an Optometrist. The offeror must be a graduate of an accredited university with a degree in Optometry. The resulting contract will be a base period, not to exceed twelve months, with a one (1) year option period to be exercised at the sole discretion of the government. The number of one hour sessions for the base period is estimated at 167, depending on the actual date of award and availability of funds. The solicitation will be available on or around July 28, 2004, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http:/www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed unless determined by the contracting officer to be in the best interest of the government. Future information concerning this acquisition, including any amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up to date information about this solicitation. The government may make award without discussions, therefore, offerors are instructed to submit their best offer initially. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business business concerns.
