- Description
- The USDA Forest Service has a requirement for Log Scaling Services. This solicitation is to obtain scaling services for National Forest commercial timber sales that require contract scaling. Scaling will take place at various scaling sites situated throughout Central and Northern California and Southern Oregon. Prospective offerors must be able to scale and process scale data using the Scribner Dec C log rule and the National Forest Cubic Scaling Handbook Rule. The contractor will be required to demonstrate a certain level of expertise and capability; scalers must be certified. This notice is not a solicitation or request for proposal. To review the solicitation, and for information on how to submit a quote, interested firms may view the web site at http://www.FedBizOpps.gov and ?Find Business Opportunities and specifically view solicitation R5-04-20-024, then download. Firms should also view this site to observe any amendments to the solicitation. Interested firms must submit cost quotes prior to noon (local time) September 2, 2004 to: Forest Service, Attn. Don Bandur, 1323 Club Drive, Vallejo, CA. 94592. On your envelope, clearly reference Solicitation No. R5-04-20-024. The Government will not accept quotes electronically or via FAX. Award of this agreement is contingent upon funding approval. End.
