- ?This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.? The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, RI intends to award a contract, with firm fixed price provisions, under FAR Parts 12 and 13 procedures (commercial items; simplified acquisition procedures), for various Mk48 MOD 6 Torpedo components fabricated per NAVSEA drawings, Parts Lists, and Notices of Revisions (NORS). The solicitation will be issued in less than 15 days per FAR 5.203(a) & (h)- on/about 27 JUL 2004. Procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Evaluation shall be ?best value? with evaluation criteria being ability to meet delivery schedule; price; and past performance. To be eligible for award, an offeror must quote on all items (split awards are not planned). Among the twenty items being bought are: Aft Engine Bulkhead, NSN 5340-01-482-6073- qty of 12 (Dwg. 6935022 Rev. E); Aft Closure, Engine Housing, NSN 3040-01-496-9790- qty of 50 (Dwg. 7052744 Rev. C); Head, Coolant Pump, NSN 4320-01-479-0646- qty. of 50 (Dwg. 6935013 Rev. D); Retention Assembly, 5W15 Cable, NSN 5935-01-496-3671- qty of 25 (Dwg. 6935008 Rev. C); Extension, Hydraulic Port, NSN1680-01-499-1366- qty of 90 (Dwg. 6935174 Rev. C); Backup Ring, Seal, NSN 5330-01-481-2276- qty. of 400 (Dwg. 6300877-1 Rev. A); Housing, Seal, Aft Shaft, NSN 3130-01-499-3443- qty. of 50 (Dwg. 7052763 Rev. B). Delivery dates vary depending on the item. Marking of the items is per MIL-STD-129; packaging is per MIL-STD-2073-ID. FOB Destination to NUWCDIV Keyport, WA. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room. However, the drawings, including specifications and Notice of Revisions (NOR), will not be exhibited on our web site. Many of these have restricted distribution statements (some also prohibit secondary distribution). To receive a CD-R Disc copy of this information, a company must be certified under the Joint Certification Program (JCP) managed for Defense Logistics Information Service, Battle Creek, MI, as evidenced by a JCP Certification number in the Business Identification Number Cross-reference System (BINCS). Your request must include your firm?s complete street addresss, cage code, tel. number, and FEDEX # (the cost of shipping the Disc will be borne by the requestor).
