Description

Garder Strewardship Project: The purpose of this contract is to provide services for fuels reduction and forest health that will include the contractor to furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operationg supplies, and other incidentals necessary to complete the work. The contractor will be required to develop and submit a Treatment Plan and Schedule to accomplish the project objectives. The Treatment Plan will be agreed upon by the parties and incorporated into the contract. All merchantable material to be removed from the site will be pruchased from the Government and paid for at the total offer values provided. The Treatment Plan and Schedule shall include as a minimum the following items: Product Removal - felling, skidding and decking of merchantable timber and biomass material, slashing operations, hauling operations, equipment involved; Road Maintenance - blading specifications, temporary road construction specifications, equipment involved; Safety Plan - to include traffic control and identification of hazards; Fire Prevention Plan - prevention and control of fires, detailed list of personnel and equipment; Slash Plan - equipment and techniques used to meet slash specifications; and Schedule - for completion of objectives. Location of Work: The project work area is located approximately 25 miles southwest of the city of Duchesne, Utah.
