- Department of the Army, Defense Contracting Command-Washington, 5200 Army Pentagon, Washington, D.C. 20310-5200 intends to award a single source contract (IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source) to the American Association for the Advancement o f Science, 1200 New York Avenue, N.W., Washington DC 20005, for a Stability Operations Fellow. A Stability Operations Fellow will provide relevant academic research skills and expertise to frame thinking in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (P olicy). This expertise will facilitate policy formulation and recommendations for civil, economic and military reconstruction in countries which have failed or in which the U.S. Government has been engaged in conflict. The period of performance of this c ontract will be for twelve (12) months. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals. This announcement is for informational purposes only. See Note 22.
