- Description
- The work performed under this project consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to repair and/or replace various items of playground equipment and accessories on twelve (12) playgrounds in military housing areas on or near Keesler AFB, MS. Work includes removal and installation of playground equipment, benches, picnic tables, drainage pipes, play surface, and borders. Due to safety and liability issues, it is imperative that the installer of the playground and the play area surfacing be certified by the manufacturers of both items. The solicitation will be issued as unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238990 and the size standard is $12,000,000. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be made available for downloading from the Internet (Federal Business Opportunities Web-Site) address www.eps.gov on approximately 4 Aug 04. Specifications and drawings will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. Therefore, it is the contractor's responsibility to check the above listed web address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation's specifications and drawings. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge; however, some plans and specifications will take a considerable amount of time to download. Telephone and fax requests will not be accepted. The closing date is tentatively scheduled for 3 Sep 04. Award will be made using the Performance-Price Trade-Off (PPT) technique. All contractors doing business with the government are required to register in the DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Database prior to any subsequent award. CCR registration may be accomplished online at www.ccr.gov. Additional information on CCR registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423. Failure to register in the DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Database will render your firm ineligible for award.
