Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement to provide janitorial services at the following location: Air Traffic Control Tower, Minneapolis ??? St. Paul, International Airport, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The period of performance is to commence October 1, 2004 for an initial period of one (1) year. There are four (4) one-year option periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment (other than Government furnished equipment), transportation and supervision to provide janitorial services 7 days a week, including weekends and all holidays. Company must have at least three (3) years experience in janitorial services to include other government agencies or large size companies and have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year and be within a one hundred (100)-mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. This office must be maintained during the entire life of the contract. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily of Past Performance. The Government is seeing offers that provide the best combination of quality and price in order to select the greatest value of ???Best Buy??? offers. Therefore, award may be made to other than the lowest offer. The contractor and all employees of this contract will be subject to a Background Investigation by the FAA Security Division. THIS ACQUISITION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR 8(a) BUSINESS NAICS Code is 561720. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
