- BASED ON NEW FOREST PRIORITIES AND FUNDING THIS PROJECT IS CANCELLED AND MAY BE ADVERTISED NEXT FISCAL YEAR. DESC: The Colville National Forest requires presale services on the Newport Ranger District for fiscal year 2004. The services will be located in Pend Oreille County, Washington. The current unit identified for this contract is the Misery Timber Presales Area. The unit is located in the Ruby Creek Drainage. The task order contract is intended to provide the Government with flexibility to order timber sale preparation services for this area as the need arises and funding is available. There will be one award from this solicitation. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, tools and transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. Services will include, but not limited to: GPS traversing, hand traversing, tree marking, painting proposed cutting unit boundaries, and performing cruises to determine tree volumes and tree quality. The contract period of performance will be date of award through July 31, 2006, with task orders being placed when services are needed and funding is available. This project will be advertised as a written request for quotations and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. The NAICS code is 115310 and size standard is $6 million. The project is 100 percent small business set-aside. Estimated issue date is June 7, 2004, with quotations estimated to be due June 22, 2004.
