- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to secure the services of mechanical thinning and fuel treatment of 515 acres of Wildland fuels. This is an implementation of the treatments approved by the Elk Bugs Environmental Impact Statement and Limestone, Boomer, and Roubaix Environmental Assessments. The objective of this project is to reduce existing live, dead, and downed fuel loads. The intent is to improve forest health and tree growth, to reduce the threat of catastrophic fire along private and on National Forest lands by providing a break in the existing fuel loading, and to improve the visual quality along Forest Highways 193, 134, 734, 151, and County Road (CO) 045.
