- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to provide pre-commercial thinning services for approximately 279 acres on the Sitka Ranger District. Contract time is 90 days with a May 1, 2005 estimated start work date. The project area is located on the southern end of Chichagof Island on the southeast side of Tenakee Inlet between Crab Bay to the west and Kasashan Bay to east, Southeast Alaska. Access is only by boat, floatplane or helicopter with no docking facilities. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about July 28, 2004 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation KTN-04-59. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 21 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select ?Register to Receive Notification? and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select ?Register as an Interested Vendor? and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting ?View List of Interested Vendors? for each project.
