- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a need for a new cooling tower to serve the Agency's Andrew W. Breidenbach Environmental Research Center (AWBERC), 26 W. Martin Luther King Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio. The existing 3,400-ton cooling tower will be replaced with a 4,500-ton factory-fabricated cooling tower with new condenser water pumps and new high efficiency motors. The existing chilled water system will be converted to a primary-secondary variable flow pumping system. A firm-fixed-price contract is contemplated. The anticipated contract performance period is five (5) months after receipt of the notice to proceed. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The solicitation will be released through the internet on EPA's home page at www.epa.gov/oam/cinn_cmd/. Prospective bidders can download the Invitation for Bids and related documents from this website on or about August 18, 2004. This is an unrestricted acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Agency.
