- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive (sole source) basis with Quantum Dynamics, Inc for the procurement of eight (8) Tachometer calibrators Model N-11-ECS/3A(WACC) for the U.S. Navy. Logistics support for the Quantum Dynamics Model N-11-ECS/3A(WACC) are already established in the Navy Fleet and are currently approved standard utilized in the Navy?s instrument calibration procedures. All associated logistics costs for establishing support for a new model number, must be borne by the manufacturer of the new model number and would become part of the initial unit cost. The Government intends to procure the above item under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit technical information in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
