- Description
- Contractor to provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to Repair Network Control Center (NCC), T-714. All work to be performed consists of the following features, but in no way limits the contractor to perform all work required by drawings and specifications for this project: Upgrade required components (i.e. chillers, HVAC fans and pumps, boiler, lighting, etc) for 50 Hz compatibility, alter HVAC ductwork as necessary, partial wall demolition, upgrade fire alarm panels per code, modify fire suppression system, upgrade electrical systems per National Electric Code (NEC), and all demolition and rubbish handling as required. Award of this project is subject to availability of funds. Contract will be solicited and awarded in Euros. The performance period is approximately 285 calendar days. In accordance with FAR 36.204(d), the magnitude of this project is between 250,000 and 500,000 Euros. Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures will be utilized for this procurement. North American Industry Classification System assigned to this acquisition is 236220. This requirement is restricted to mainland Portugal and its territories in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement between Portugal and the United States dated 1995. . All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposal (RFP) may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. The request for Proposal (RFP) package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov on or about 19 Aug 04. A pre-proposal conference and a site visit will be held at Lajes Field on or about 25 Aug 04. The RFP package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. The solicitation, plans, specifications, and drawings will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government?s best interest. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium.
