- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration plans to award a sole source purchase order to the FACE Companies to purchase four (4) Dipstick Model 2200. The FACE Dipstick is a proprietary device manufactured by the FACE Companies of Norfolk, Virginia. The FACE Dipstick Model 2200 is the only acceptable replacement known this is air transportable as luggage, can safely perform a transverse profile survey within a 3.8 meter wide land closure, is a Standard Model and will produce data which is compatible with the existing transverse profile data in the Long Term Pavement Program. Therefore, the Face Companies is the only known source and provider of the requirement instruments. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about August 2, 2004.
