- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) plans to issue an order on a sole source basis to the Institute for Scientific Information, Philadelphia, PA, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The purpose and objective of this requirement is to pay database fees for 2005 for access to Science Citation Index (SCI) Expanded. The Web of Science software is a proprietary product of the Institute of Scientific Information (ISI) and therefore is the only source that provides this service. The period of performance shall be from January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005. The anticipated award date of the order is on or about 10 days from the date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested persons may identify their intent and capability to respond to the requirement no later than the response date above. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For information, call the POC identified below
