- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to collect and provide hardcopy and electronic stand examination data on 45 to 80 year old coniferous and hardwood forested stands. The project is comprised of both pre-commercially thinned and otherwise untreated stands. It involves locating and establishing plots, and measuring and recording tree, vegetation composition and supplemental data. The stand examination data provides information to natural resource managers. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, supplies, materials, and incidentals required to perform timber stand examination plots on the Pacific Ranger District, Olympic National Forest. Data shall be collected using USDA-Forest Service Common Stand Exam (CSE) Protocols effective February 2004 except as otherwise stated in this contract, in which case the contract shall take precedence. The project area is located on the Pacific Ranger District, Olympic National Forest, approximately 15-20 miles from Forks and 20-30 miles from Hoquiam, Washington.
