Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking sources to provide a compact and lightweight vehicle/system capable of underwater remote operations and underwater imaging for inspection purposes to conduct underwater inspections of piers, wharfs, docks, etc. for explosives or other parasitic attachments in accordance with the attached requirements document with delivery to various USCG installations within CONUS. The primary intended use of this vehicle/system is to assist USCG security personnel in the accomplishment of typical missions. The projected operating environment includes harsh maritime conditions as well as operating from many different types of vessels and shore structures. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. The requested information does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. The Government may or may not award from this information. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the submission of contractor?s information. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. The following information is requested: business name, business size, CAGE code, Dun and Bradstreet number and GSA schedule should they hold one; as well as information related to the product or products that are offered or could be offered to meet all the requirements in the attached requirements document. Additionally, firms are requested to include a statement of whether the products offered are available commercially and in what price range and whether the product includes a warranty.
