Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supply prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotati ons are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis/solicitation is for the following items: CLIN 0001, 660 11R22.5 Michelin XYZ-2 16 Ply Tires; CLIN 0002, Removal of 660 old tires and installation of 660 new tires. Requires mount/demount of 660 tires over a period of 3 weekends or 7 days. Includes installation of new valve stems. No tire balancing necessary. Includes vendor disposal of old tires. Government will furnish motorpool space but vendor is responsible for the supply of all tools and equipment necessary for the tire mounting/dem ounting. Government will supply personnel for moving the equipment, as needed, for vendor work to be completed. Any lug nuts, studs, rims, or new tires damaged during vendor installation will be the replacement responsibility of the vendor. The successf ul offeror must be able to deliver the items Fort Carson NLT September 30, 2004. No substitutions will be accepted as tires must meet specific guidelines. The proposed contract is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. For this acquisition, the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees and the NAICS Code is 441320. Award shall be made only to contractors who have registered with the Central Contractor Registration at http://www.ccr.gov The following provisions in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) apply to this acquisition to include any addenda to the provision. This solicitation incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in ful l text.
