- The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) to acquire BOM for the expansion of the existing power grid at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. Request for Quote (RFQ) Number W912BU-04-T-0074 has been assi gned. The NAICS Code is 423610, with a size standard of 500 employees. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this n otice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circul ar, 2001-20. The following is a list of line items: (A) Electrical Cable, 500 MCM HV cable, 15KV Tapeshield Copper Cable. (B) 2/0 HV cable, 15KV Tapeshield Copper Cable. Delivery is required within 15 calendar days after receipt of order. The provisio n at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items applies. The evaluation factors are price and delivery with delivery more important than price. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representative and Certifications- Commercial Items, must be completed a nd returned with the offer. The provisions at 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 apply. Standard commercial warranties are acceptable for all items. The above provisions are available for download at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. This action is set aside for small b usiness. All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be considered. The Government will not pay for information received. Bonding is not required. All contractors are required to be registered in the DODâs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 or m ore are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
