Description

The project consists of precommercial tree thinning and stand improvement services of approximately 525 acres on the Cascade Ranger District of the Boise National Forest. The projects are located in the West Mountain area and Skunk Creek areas. West Mountain areas are located in fours areas west of Cascade, Idaho. Access to the Tamarack Falls area is 15 miles north on Highway 55 to Donnelly. Turn on Road #422 to Tamarack Falls. Take a left at Tamarack Falls and go south to Road #186. Access to Silver Creek, Moores Creek and Fawn Creek is southwest of Cascade to the south end of West Mountain. The Skunk Creek area is located about 10 miles southeast of Cascade, Idaho. Access to the area is south on Highway 55 to Clear Creek Station restaurant and Road #409. NAICS code: 115310. Size Standard:$6.0 Million. Est. start date is 8/16/04 with 60 calendar days for completion. See numbered note #1.
