Description

The USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS) requires all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to replace electric power & lighting circuits and devices; and mechanical systems controls for 6,400 SF +/- of Greenhouse space at the Pasture Systems & Watershed Management Research Unit, University Park, Pa. The bidding package will be structured with a Base Bid requirement for replacement of existing power and lighting circuits, motors, devices, and fixtures. Bid Option #1 includes the replacement of mechanical HVAC system controls throughout the entire greenhouse range. Bid Option #2 includes the re-ballasting of 20 existing lighting fixtures and provision of 52 new light fixtures. The work within the base and each option shall be accomplished in two phases with each phase consisting of one of the 3,200 SF +/- greenhouse segments. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. This project must be completed within 90 days after receipt of notice to proceed.
