- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management, Mesa County, Colorado is soliciting offers for the Powerline Fuels Treatment Project. The purpose of the contract will be to rollerchop vegetation on a mesa top on BLM land in Mesa County, an area that is a mix of sagebrush, young encroaching pinyon and juniper and mature PJ. The object of the contract is to reduce wildland fuels and to improve rangeland health by reducing the amount of PJ encroachment into sagebrush parks. The size of the project is approximately 375 acres. The average slope is less than 30 percent and crown cover is estimated between 20 and 40 percent. A prebid site tour is offered on August 3, 2004. Interested parties can meet at the Mesa Community Center parking area in Mesa, Colorado at 10:00 am. Local contact is Ken Holsinger (970)878-3838. The solicitation will be advertised on or about July 28, 2004 and offers will be accepted through August 26, 2004 via mail at BLM, EFO, 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, CO 81506 or by fax at (970)244-3130 or submitted electronically.The project is estimated at below $100,000.00. This is a total small business set aside (numbered note 1).
