Description
This is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, between Neelcor Puritan Bennett Melville Ltd and the VA Medical Center Cincinnati, Ohio for the following Medical Equipment: Sandman Elite 1 bed collection & Analysis system QTY 1. Sandman elite 1 bed collection add-on QTY 1. 3MD review software license kit QTY 2. Sandman elite advanced database kit QTY 1 kit. Sandman SD32 Amplifier kit QTY 2 kit. Knightstar 330 bi-level ventilator (prototype) QTY 2. NPB70 Capnograph kit QTY 1 kit. Unattended Suzanne portable system QTY 1. Suzanne Flash card reader QTY 1. Desktop computer (PCI) with internal CD RW QTY 2. Desktop computer (PCI) with internal DVD RW & CD RW QTY 1. 18.1" Viewable LCD monitors, black QTY 3. Neelcor Puritan Bennett Melville Ltd as proprietary to their software. This procurement is based on the determination that the government's minimum needs can best be satisfied due to Sandman being the most flexible software in the marketplace with open architecture, fastest scoring in the marketplace through single click scoring, deleting and editing. Fully customizable reports and screen for collection and analysis is a major benefit from the standpoint of the interpreting physicians. Also in the new upgrade, there also is integrated audio video recording capability - able to compress entire 8 hour study and audio/video onto a single CD. Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement by July 26, 2004. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their qualifications/capabilities by submitting literature and documentation, detailing their experience in providing these products, to the Contracting Officer or by facsimile to (513) 46-75-6334. Such qualifications/capabilities will be perused solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are NOT acceptable and responses received after July 26, 2004 will not be considered.
