Description

This is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, between Life Systems Inc. and the VA Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio for the following medical equipment: 10140-000/300D VIO 300D Electrosurgical Unit 120V/60Hz UL QTY 1. 10134 APC2 Argon Plasma Coag Unit for VIO QTY 1. 20132-158 Probe Connector Hose 8'2"/2.5m, Reusable QTY 2. 1063-2 Argon Gas Cylinder-Full, 40 cu ft Capacity, Purity 99.998% QTY 2. 20134-006 APC2 Pressure Reduction Valve QTY 1. 20189-105 VIO Two(Double/Dual) Pedal Foot Switch w/Remode, AP and IP X8 QTY 1. 20180-134 VIO to APC2 Fastening Set QTY 1. 20180-000 VIO Cart incl. FS Holder, Cable wrap, one bottle fixation QTY 1. 20180-010 VIO Cart Wire Basket QTY 1. 20180-131 Fixation Kit VIO/APC2 to VIO cart QTY 1. 20183-053 Adapter for BICAP and/or GOLDPROBE (C,D & Up Series) QTY 1. 7910-3000 ENDO 100 Lavage Pump QTY 1. 20128-007 Mounting Bracket for ICC 200, 300 & 350 QTY 1. 7911-3001 Lavage Pump Cartridge, Reusable QTY 1. 7911-3003 Water Bottle Holder (Baxter, McGraw, etc.) QTY 1. This procurement is based on the determination that the government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by the procurement of the Erbe Argon Plasma Coagulation Unit due to it's superior quality and many technological features that are proprietary to Erbe, of who Life Systems Inc. is the Midwest distributor. Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement by July 21, 2004. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their qualifications/capabilities by submitting literature and documentation, detailing their experience in providing these products, to the Contracting Officer or by facsimile to (513) 475-6334. Such qualifications/capabilities will be perused solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are NOT accectable and responses received after July 21, 2004 will not be considered.
