- Description
- United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area has a project entitled Manure Pumping Station at the USDA-ARS US Dairy Forage Research Center in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for a new pumping center to pump liquid effluent from an existing lagoon to a new receiving tank approximately 2600 feet from the existing lagoon, a new effluent transportation pipeline, approximately 120 feet of steel casing across a Wisconsin Department of Transportation right-of-way, a new concrete effluent reception tank of approximately 94,000 gallons (40' diameter X 10' deep), a offloading pumping station, a offloading drive-by lane, electrical service to the new pumping systems, electrical service to two existing bunkers, and control wiring from the primary pumping station to the offloading pumping station. The period of performance is 120 days. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. Bonding will be required. Estimated price range is: Between $100,000 and $250,000. This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 237110 and the annual size standard is 28.5 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB). All requests for a solicitation package must reference IFB No. 5114-4-1600 and the contact name above. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. The anticipated IFB solicitation package will be available on or about July 28, 2004.
