- NOTICE TO INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO Carport Structures Corporation 1805 Metamora Rd Oxford, Michigan 48371-2419 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The contract will be issued to the above referenced contractor without further notice. The installation of solar panel carports, no later than 27 July 2004. The line items are as follows: CLIN 0001 to install 1 group of 9 car spaces (81? of cover). 1 group of 26 car spaces angled parking approx. 30 degree, 1 group of 18 car spaces angled parking approx 30 degrees, and 1 group of 18 car spaces angled parking approx. 30 degrees. This project consists of a special type of carport material and sizes to accommodate the solar panels. The carport requires a McElroy Lok Panel/Standing Seam Roof Panels at 18-in Snap-Rib profiles. The carport requires a minimum roof slope of 3.5 degrees and a roof material coating of K ynar 500 or Hylar 5000 PVDF. UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302 the contract will be issued to the above referenced contractor, without further notice. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror?s ability to meet all requirements. The government will consider EOIs received prior to 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis, before 1200 P ST on that date. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. EOIs sent via the U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to Commanding Officer, Contracting & Purchasing, Box 110340, Barstow, Ca 92311-5050. EOIs sent via Federal Express or hand carried must be delivered to Marine Corps Logistics Base, Warehouse 8, Door 14-A, Barstow, CA 92311 during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EOIs may be submitted via facsimile to Attn: SSgt Latricia Garrett at (760) 577-6174. The facsimile transmission must clearly identify this notice and the name of the contracting officer on the first page. Submitt ers bear the burden of ensuring that the EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. All pages of the transmission must reach the office before the deadline specified and pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The submitter bears the risk on non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received. This purchase will be under Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 28 July 2004.
