- Description
- The project consists of all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to complete the general construction of a new sewage lift station. Work included in this project consists of the abandonment and removal of an existing sewage lift station; installation of a new grease interceptor to treat wastewater from an existing cafe; construction of 540 linear feet of new 4" force main; replacement of all water distribution lines; replacement of all sewage collection lines; remodeling of existing public restrooms; remodeling/expanding the existing plumbing chase between the restrooms; and construction of a new fire suppression system. The project work is located at Drakes Beach in the north headlands of Point Reyes National Seashore, located in Marin County, CA. The estimated price range of the project is $500,000-$1,000,000 with completion required within 150 days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The resulting award will be based on a Best Value determination made after consideration of the contractor's costs and factors other than cost (i.e., previous experience and past performance with related projects, project personnel and subcontractor personnel experience, experience working in environmentally sensitive areas, etc) as set forth in the solicitation. The Request for Proposal (RFP) and all plans and specifications will be available via electronic commerce only at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or directly through the DOI National Business Center site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or before July 14, 2004. The due date for receipt of proposals will be at least 30 days after issuance of the RFP. It will be the contractor's responsibility to periodically check the website for any amendments that may be issued prior to the due date for receipt of proposals. This acquisition is restricted to Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small business concerns.
