Description
The Northwestern Division covers the following regional offices: Seattle District, Portland District, Walla Walla District, Omaha District, and Kansas City District. Contractors shall perform work on all electrical and mechanical equipment required to produce electrical energy from water (i.e. water-to-wire). This term, water-to-wire, is a conceptual reference used to describe the breadth of components, which may be addressed under this contract. Examples of the components related to the power tra in equipment identified for the work under this contract are as follows: 1. Generator repair and large (500 hp & over) pump motor repair; 2. Turbine repair, large (500 hp & over) pump repair (including its turbine prime mover & gearbox) and emergency intak e waterway closure devices such as penstock spherical and butterfly valves (including their power and control units); 3. Exciter replacements or repair; 4. Step-up transformer and switchyard transformer replacement, repair, preparation for repair by others , and installation of transformers provided by others; 5. Circuit breaker repair for SF6, vacuum, air blast, or air magnetic types; 6. Governor equipment replacements, upgrades, or repair; and 7. Isolated phase or non-segregated bus, surge arrestors, react ors, surge protection equipment, and grounding equipment replacement or repair. Please note that contractor tasks will be specified under each task order executed under this contract. Task orders will be issued on an as-required basis.
