- Furnish and install all necessary tools, materials, equipment, and supervision for Project #529-03-101, HVAC System, Ph. 6, at the VA Medical Center, 325 New Castle Rd., Butler, PA 16001 in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Work includes but is not limited to: the demolition and removal of piping, ductwork, fan coils, convectors, exhaust fans, electrical, bulkhead enclosures and asbestos abatement. New work includes fan coil units, reheat coils, exhaust fans, modifications to an existing air-handling unit, electrical and associated piping, ductwork and other appurtenances. All new work to include automated control systems as required. Provide construction of new mechanical shafts or modifications of existing mechanical shafts on multiple floors of Building One (1). Fan coil units and reheat coils are located on multiple floors of Building One. Exhaust fans are located on Floor 2 above the Auditorium, Floor 5 attic space and Floor 6, attic space. Air handling unit modifications are located on grade outside Floor One on northern face of Building One. Provide ventilation air for offices and workspaces on multiple floors of Building One. Included with all work is removal and reinstallation of new mechanical systems. Specifications, Drawings and forms for submitting a bid are available at http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/cgi-in/WebObjects/BosPublic/woa. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at this web site. All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through the web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Bidders Mailing List and to obtain copies of the Bidders mailing list. A limited number of solicitation documents are available from the issuing office on a first-come first-serve basis, for a non-refundable charge of $85.00 per set in the form of a cashier?s check, certified check, or money order made payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Interested parties must make their own arrangements for obtaining (shipping/receiving) the solicitation documents. A written request must accompany the form of payment. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office. Issue Date is on/about July 21, 2004. Pre-bid conference is August 6, 2004, 1:00 P.M., Bldg. #19, VAMC, Butler, PA. Bid Opening Date is August 31, 1:30 P.M., Acquisition (101), Bldg. #19, VAMC, Butler, PA 16001.
