- The Tongass National Forest is seeking quotes for furnishing AN 18 FT. WELDED ALUMINUM BOAT as described in this notice. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Proposals are being requested and specifications can be found at solicitation SIT-04-69 on FedBizOpps. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses are incorporated by reference: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders (the following clauses are checked as included: 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-3 and 52.232-33). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26. This acquisition is totally set-aside for small business concerns, NAICS 336612. The small business size standard for this acquisition is 500 employees. Submission of a quote constitutes a representation that the contractor is a small business. The intent of this acquisition is to purchase AN 18FT ALUMINUM BOAT with the following specifications PRODUCT 18ft. Custom patrol/survey model welded aluminum crewboat, extended transom, walk through windshield, powered with 115hp. Mercury 4-stroke outboard. SPECIFIC INFORMATION Hull-Welded Aluminum, Style-Runabout with welded walk-thru windshield, Length-between 18ft & 19ft 3in., Bottom Width-min. 72in., Beam-min. 94in., Inside Depth-min. 27in., Side height-min. 32in., Transom Style-full height transom with extended step outside hull, Motor mounts-One main engine and one kicker welded to extended step, Motor pre-rig-Mercury, main engine only, Bottom gauge-min. .190in., side gauge-min. .125in., Weight Capacity-min. 1500lb., Fuel tank-min. 40gal. under floor, Seats-two (2) pedestal seats fore and one (1) fold-up jump seat behind driver (approx 18in. wide), Canvas-deluxe with windows, Wipers-driver and passenger, Display panel-Yes with tachometer, fuel gauge, running lights switch, bilge switch, fathometer, Glovebox- YES, Bow anchor box-Yes, Battery Switch-Dual, Bilge pump-1250 gal. PACKING AND SHIPPING Preference will be given to bidders who package and ship FOB Destination to Juneau, Alaska, 99801 via truck/barge. Delivery due date approximately Sept 10, 2004. Contractor must contact Forest Service Contracting Officer Representative prior to shipment to ensure packing and loading are as specified. Quotes may be submitted on vendor's letterhead stationary and may be mailed to USDA Forest Service, ATTN: KAY STEFFEY, 204 Siginaka Way, Sitka, AK. 99835 or sent via FAX to (907) 747-4289. Quotes must be submitted not later than 3:30 p.m. (Alaska time) on July 21, 2004. Quotes must also include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items. This provision is available on-line at www.arnet.gov/far/. An offer will be made to the contractor whose quote represents the best overall value to the Government, price and other factors considered, including the ability to meet delivery and packaging specifications.
