- Description
- The project involves the interior demolition and construction of a new U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) facility located at the fourth floor of the Joseph P. Kinneary U.S. Federal Courthouse, 85 Marconi Blvd., Columbus, Ohio. The new facility consists primarily of the three sector areas, namely: Administration Area, Operations Area, and Prisoner Area. The overall facility consist of offices, conference room, training room, attorney-prisoner interview rooms, computer room, detention cells, sally ports, galleys, and employee fitness room with locker rooms. The work scope consists of the construction of various types of gypsum board/metal stud partitions, masonry walls, floor surfaces, and suspended ceilings; including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm and sprinkler system. Abatement of asbestos containing materials (ACM) is also included. A floor area of approximately 11,000 SF of the fourth floor is involved. The contract completion time is 420 calendar days from the receipt of notice to proceed. This project is open to all business concerns. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 236220. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 16, 2004. In order to obtain the solicitation documents, contractors must be registered at both the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) websites. IMPORTANT: No Federal material can be downloaded until registration has been completed at both sites. The solicitation will be available only through the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) website (fedteds.gov). Mail, facsimile, telephone or electronic mail requests will not be honored. Those interested may gain access to FedTeDS by first registering with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov (you must have a valid Duns number issued by Dun & Bradstreet to register). Contractors will obtain a CCR PIN and CAGE Code after registering successfully. After registration in CCR, please visit the FedTeDS website at http://www.fedteds.gov. You will then be required to access the vendor registration form by selecting the hyperlink entitled "Register with FedTeDS" and then choosing the "Vendor Registration Form" hyperlink. You will be required to enter your CCR PIN and CAGE code or Duns number to receive a user name and password for FedTeDS. It is the vendor's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps and FedTeDS for amendments, if any, to the solicitation.
