- THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO REVIEW AND PRINT ON THE FEDBIZOPPS WEB SITE IN APPROXIMATELY 15 DAYS. MECHANICAL TREE SPADE TRANSPLANTS PROJECT. This project will restore vegetation in recreation sites on the SNRA by using mechanical tree spade transplants. The SNRA has experienced a mountain pine beetle infestation in lodgepole pine that has killed a large portion of trees in high value recreational sites. Tree transplants consist of mostly lodgepole pine, 10-15 feet in height; but where appropriate, occasional transplants of other native species may be used if the vegetation management plan deems their presence consistent with the natural occurrence within the habitat. The facilities are located on the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Some sites are located on Highway 93, the Salmon River Road between Stanley and Challis, Idaho. The other sites are located at the Redfish Lake Recreation Complex off of Highway 75, 3 miles south of Stanley, Idaho. NAICS code: 115310; size standard: $6.0 Million.
