- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is FA5270-04-R-0022. The solicitation is issued as a request for proposals. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-23. This acquisition is unrestricted. The associated NAICS code is 334220. The contract line items and estimated quantities are listed on Attachment 1, entitled Solicitation No. FA5270-04-R-0022. The requirement is for maintenance and repair of the Land Mobile Radio network on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa Japan. The resultant contract will consist of maintenance, repair, system optimization and new installation of Motorola equipment. A detailed statement of work is provided in Attachment 2, entitled Statement of Work. Also see Attachment 2 , Appendix C for a list of equipment to be maintained. The contract performance period is 1 Oct 04 - 30 Sept 05, with four one-year option periods. All work shall be preformed at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa Japan. The provision at FAR Clause 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors applies to this acquisition. The provision at FAR Clause 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items is applicable. Also note that section 4.8.1.3 states that all technicians performing on the resultant contract shall maintain current Motorola certified training certificates. A site visit will be conducted on 8 - 9 June 2004, at 8:00 A.M. Japan Standard Time. Past Performance Questionnaires (Attachment 3) must be completed and returned as outlined in Attachment 1, Local Clause SERV-ADD52.212-1, not later than 18 June 2004, at 4:00 P.M., Japan Standard Time.
