- Description
- Single award contract beginning August 1, 2004 and ending July 31, 2005, plus up to three optional 12-month extension periods. Approximately 1 order per month for Item 1, and approximately 2 orders per year for Item 2. Item 1 contains approximately 32 to 52 pages per order at approximately 27,000 copies per order with two months having approximately as many as 75,000 copies per order. Item 2 contains approximately 24 to 40 pages with approximately 4,000 to 3,000 copies per order. Operations include electronic prepress, film making, printing in full four-color process, and/or black ink, binding, packing, and delivery. Item 1 prints full four-color process throughout with the occasional use of 5th and 6th color inks as required to maintain ink/color balance. An occasional order may require cover to print in metallic ink. Knockouts may be required. Covers 1 and 4 may require varnish. Item 2 will print in full four-color process or black ink throughout. Item 1 trims to 8-1/2 x 11 inches and Item 2 trims to 7 x 10 inches. Bid opening date July 13, 2004, 11 a.m. prevailing Washington, DC time.
