- Description
- USS KENNEDY (CV-67), SSP 003-05, Complex Overhaul (COH). This sources sought synopsis is issued in anticipation of a future procurement involving the complex overhaul of the USS KENNEDY (CV-67). This requirement will include miscellaneous drydocking repairs including blast/preserve underwater hull, blast/preserve freeboard, remove/repair sea valves, repair seachests, and blasting/preservation of approximately 200 tanks. The tentative performance period is 02 May 2005 ? 25 August 2006 and performance will take place primarily in Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. Some limited work may be accomplished at Mayport Naval Station, Jacksonville, FL. This will be a Best Value solicitation. Interested offerors should respond by close of business on July 14, 2004. Responses should include point of contact, title, telephone, mailing and email address. Responses to this not ice will be utilized to inform potential offerors of anticipated industry briefs, specification review, and input sought in the solicitation process. An initial industry brief is tentatively scheduled for the first week in August 2004. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow up information requests.
