Description
The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to perform pothole repair, spot leveling with hot bituminous pavement, the application of a 1" overlay of hot bituminous pavement, and the application of traffic markings on three sections of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. Section one is 27.7 miles in length between mileposts 280.3 and 308.0 in Itawamba, Prentiss and Tishomingo Counties, Mississippi. This section receives a one-inch overlay of hot bituminous pavement and new traffic markings. Section two is 12 miles in length between mileposts 308.0 and 320.0 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi and Colbert County, Alabama. This section is to receive restriped traffic markings only. Section three is 13 miles in length between mileposts 342.0 and 355.0 in Wayne County, Tennessee. This section is to receive restriped traffic markings only. Bid quantities on this job are as follows: 22,551 tons of hot bituminous pavement; 16.45 miles new broken yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic); 33.95 miles new solid yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic); 55.40 miles new solid white edge line (40 mil hot spray paint); 21.90 miles restripe broken yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic); 14.40 miles restripe solid yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic); and 51.20 miles restripe solid white edge line (40 mil hot spray paint). Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for pavement operations to commence in early fall, 2004. Work shall be concluded within 90 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Procurement is being conducted under full and open competition procedures under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $28.5 million. This Invitation for Bid, including attachments, will be available for download electronically at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 15, 2004.
