Description
This acquisition is for Commercial Item/Services. Provide tower and antenna inspection, maintenance and repair services, where appropriate (Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska) for US Army Corps of Engineers owned towers and antennas. The Contracto r shall use only authorized, qualified, trained, and experienced personnel to perform the tasks identified in the Scope of Work. The contractor shall provide material, equipment and experienced personnel to perform tower inspections. Contractor shall per form inspections every five (5) years on guyed towers and every five (5) years on self-supported towers, monopoles, concrete and wood poles, specialty and stealth towers. Shorter inspection intervals shall be applied to towers located in coastal salt-wate r environments and corrosive atmospheres. Guyed towers located in corrosive atmospheres and within 10 miles of an intercoastal water environment shall be inspected every year. Self-supported towers, monopoles, concrete and wood poles, specialty and steal th towers located within 10 miles of an intercoastal water environment or in a corrosive atmosphere shall be inspected every two years. Contractor will perform emergency inspections as deemed necessary and determined by the US Army Corps of Engineers if wa rranted. Period of performance is from Date of Contract to March 31, 2006. This acquisition is subject to any regulatory changes or Federal safety regulations as determined by the Government. The Government will award a contract from this request for p roposals to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and past performance considered. This solicitation is open to both large and small business participation. The standard indu strial code (SIC) is 7622. The NAICS Code is 811213. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. The Solicitation package shall be available on or about July 13, 2004.
