Description
The Shawnee National Forest anticipates contracting for the removal and replacement of an existing wooden deck and steps at the Rim Rock National Recreational Trail. The project is locate approximately 24 miles southeast of Harrisburg in Gallatin County, Illinois. Access to the project site is approximately .25 mile from the parking lot on a 36-inch wide stone hiking path. The new deck and steps will be installed in approximately the same location as the original structure. The Government Estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000 and the time for construction is 60 calendar days with the Notice to Proceed being issued late September 2004. Award will be made on the basis of Best Value.
