- Description
- United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area has a project entitled Building 154 (Boiler Plant) Solar Turbine Replacement at the National Animal Disease Center (NADC), Ames, Iowa. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for Solar Turbine Saturn 20 turbine engine replacement with refurbished unit (Brand Name or Equal) with trade-in of existing NADC Solar Turbine Saturn 20 turbine engine. The period of performance is 3 days actual machinery down time. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. Bonding will be required. Estimated price range is: Between $100,000 and $250,000. This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 238290 and the annual size standard is 12 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB). All requests for a solicitation package must reference IFB No. 5114-4-1200 and the contact name above. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. The anticipated IFB solicitation package will be available on or about July 13, 2004.
