Description

Work required under this solicitation and any resultant contract is the reconstruction of 7.23 miles of double lane FS road 64. Work includes crushing and placing a crushed aggregate base of 4” from mp 0.00 to mp 2.27, placing a crushed aggregate base of 5” from mp 2.27 to mp 5.81, and then an 18” crushed aggregate base from mp 5.81 to mp 7.23. Pave the full length double lane width with 3.5” of hot asphalt concrete. Work also includes reconstructing the Touchet Corral trailhead/snowpark which includes widening, placing a crushed aggregate base and paving it with 3.5” of hot asphalt concrete, and constructing 1700’ of new snowmobile trail 18’ wide. Road 6400650 is an option item. This work includes reconditioning 0.49 miles of double lane road, placing a 10” crushed aggregate base and then paving with 3.5 inches of hot asphalt concrete. This project is located on the Walla Walla Ranger District of the Umatilla National Forest. Travel north from Walla Walla Washington on Highway 12 approximately 30 miles to Dayton Washington, then east on county road 9115 approximately 13 miles to the beginning of the project on FS road 64.
