- NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)] for Central-Process Recertification, Operations, Maintenance and Engineering(CROME)at Glenn Research Center(GRC), Cleveland, Ohio and for Recertification services at its off-site Plum Brook Station(PBS), Sandusky, Ohio. The contract is to provide recertification, operations, maintenance and engineering for the Central Process Systems, collateral equipment, and other related functions- the activities of which support the research (aeronautical and space) missions at GRC and Plum Brook Station. Operations maintenance of the Pressurized System Pressure Vessel (PSPV) system is also included in this work, while institutional type building maintenance is not. These activities shall emphasize supporting the research (aeronautical and space) missions of GRC in a safe, reliable, and timely manner, with minimum disruptions to the Center operations. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a 8(a) set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 561210 and $30M, respectively. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about April 1, 2004 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about June 1, 2004. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and some documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GRC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=22 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
